Kuʻia Agricultural Education Center’s huakaʻi offer in depth experiences on ʻāina which will include but are not limited to kahawai restoration, removal of invasive plants at historical sites, wahi pana mo'olelo, traditional and customary practices of Kauaʻula region, traditional food preparation and practices such as kuʻi kalo and imu, harvesting and gathering protocol, makahiki and martial arts, and various hana noʻeau. Students will leave with strengthened identity as ʻōiwi leaders, learn new skills to be sustainable and independent, and personal connection to Lāhaina.
