Program Information:
The Kāneʻohe Summer Enrichment & Extended Learning Program offers full-day and half-day options:
Full Day: 8am - 2pm
Half Day: 8am - 11am or 11am - 2pm
Students will:
strengthen their knowledge of indigenous practices;
deepen their sense of Hawai'i;
enrich their academic skills in the core content areas;
sharpen their critical thinking skills; and
develop leadership qualities
Teachers will activate student learning by incorporating Hawaiian culture and deepening a sense of place. Through creative problem solving projects aimed at makIng a difference in our community, students will be inspired to embrace learning and discover passions.
Community partners such as Luluku Farms and Mele Murals, will provide a cultural context for learning and demonstrate for students "ʻAʻohe pau ka ʻike i ka hālau hoʻokahi. #203"
Registration for the program will begin on March 6, 2023, and will continue until enrollment limits have been reached. Once enrollment limits are reached, subsequent registrants will be placed on a waiting list in the order they are received.
