Testimonials:

"This has been a great program that has inspired great conversations and information about the culture and diversity of land and people. She loved all of it.”
- Tarryn - Parent - Grade 2

PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

The Mele Murals Summer in person and online program provided access to Arts and Hawaiian cultural activities, moʻolelo, ʻike, and the historic and cultural relevances of wahi pana across the State of Hawaiʻi. The program encompassed weekly huakaʻi to wahi pana within their respective ahupuaʻa to connected them with the ʻāina and their kūpuna.

The students learned about the history, culture and moʻolelo of their communities and engaged in creative arts. Each in-person site worked with community members and each other to create 4 large-scale murals.

We have included a slide deck of a brief summary of the entire program.

On behalf of our entire team, the haumana, and the community we mahalo you for your generous support of our program.

We are forever grateful! Mahalo!
