What is KS Kaiāulu?

For over half a century, Ke Aliʻi Pauahi’s legacy has extended out into kaiāulu (communities) across the pae ʻāina. KS Kaiāulu continues this commitment, bringing educational opportunities to Native Hawaiians beyond Kamehameha’s three campuses and 30 preschools.

KS Kaiāulu brings Kamehameha Schools’ scholarships and online learning resources together with our community partners’ rich Hawaiian culture, ʻōlelo and ‘āina-focused opportunities to nurture ‘ōiwi leaders and empower them to use their knowledge, skill, and passion to strengthen Hawai‘i, its people, and our global community.

KS Kaiāulu’s offerings aim to grow ‘ōiwi leaders—people who use their knowledge, skill, and passion to strengthen Hawaiʻi, its people, and our global community.

In 2023, KS Kaiāulu invested $41.8 million in partnerships with 122 community organizations to provide 53,418 learner experiences.

HOW CAN EA GROW
‘ŌIWI LEADERS?

At KS Kaiāulu, our ultimate goal is to support the life journey of ʻŌiwi leaders by enhancing their abilities and commitment to activate EA, improving the well-being of our ‘ohana, kaiāulu, lāhui, Hawaiʻi, and beyond. Central to this mission are community programs, which we support through investments in four priority areas aimed at nurturing Native Hawaiian learners and the communities they will serve.
