Program Information:

Ola Ka Honua spring program will be focused on climate change in Waimanalo. Some activities we will conduct are:

  • Science talks about oceanography and marine health

  • Cultural expert talks about marine resource management through kilo and malama kai practices including limu, fishing, reefs ect

  • Invasive species removal events

  • Roi roundup (removal of invasive predator fish from nearshore reefs)

  • Invasive limu removals

  • Talk-stories with native hawaiian stakeholders from Waimanalo
