Mamao is a program that enables the learner to view life and actions through the eyes of a Koa, or Hawaiian Warrior.

Learners will get a view of a warrrior's life and practice through stories, legends, excercises, chanting, and a hands on experience in braiding to make a Maʻa or Hawaiian sling

There wil also be a mea kaua display of actual weapons used by our ancestors in battle as well as the training mea kaua used in today's art of Hawaiian fighting.

Class will be 4 hours long with 2 breaks.
